“Won’t Start Texting” – A New Music Video About Distracted Driving.

This fun and informative video about texting and driving was suggested to us by one of our super cool fans on #twitter

@maddie273 is a High School Teacher, Safety Officer, Song Writer and Artist.  After one of his training videos went viral on YouTube, ZoomSafer (a company focused on distracted driving awareness) approached @maddie273, and asked him to put together a video about distracted driving, with a focus on texting and driving.

A short time later, “Won’t Start Texting” was born. 

@maddie273 wrote the lyrics, and sang this very catchy tune, while his son played guitar for “Won’t Start Texting.”  @maddie273 happily tells us that some of his high school students even drew many of the illustrations for the video.  Way to bring the message home, and get our youth involved in such a serious topic!! Kudos!

@maddie273 wanted to ensure a world where texting and driving was no longer an epidemic in his hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba and beyond.   However, he didn’t want to do another in your face shock fest.  Instead he chose to write a song, and do a subsequent video that was lighter hearted, and that all ages could sing along to, and watch.  We guarantee after watching this video, you won’t be able to get this catchy chorus out of your head for days!  Thanks again @maddie273 !!

VIDEO:  AutoNews Now - New hotspot:  Toledo and sneak peek at the Western theme for RAM

New Hot Spot:  Toledo - Chrysler is looking to add a second shift and 1100 jobs to the Toledo operation that currently builds the Dodge Nitro SUV and the Jeep Liberty.  It is reported that Chrysler invested $365 million into the Toledo plant and this could spark the beginning of several large expansions to Chrysler’s Toledo operations.

Chrysler is not commenting on the rumors that are floating around that they expect the expansion to be complete by 2013.
