Dodge Unveils Mopar 2012 Charger Pursuit

Lawbreakers beware!  Mopar has introduced an evil and mean machine destined to ruin your day if you decide to stray outside the lines and commit unlawful acts.

This new police pursuit car based on the 2012 Dodge Charger is as mean as it looks!  Reports state that there will be six different police packages for these Dodge Chargers that are “ready for duty right from the manufacturer” police cars.

Two engine choices include “the aluminum 3.6 liter Pentastar V-6 or the ferocious 5.7 Hemi V8.  Look for the V6 to come alive with 292 horses jammed under the hood of this screaming demon.  The Hemi engine has 370 horses ready and waiting to stomp your day.

The pursuit police cars will have a performance tuned suspension, “load leveling Nivomat shocks, heavy duty lock vented brakes, front and rear stabilizer bars and two mode police specific ESC.”

The interior of this Dodge Charger police pursuit vehicle, is equipped with a “mobile command center which includes a “Vehicle Systems Interface Module” and heavy duty front seats.

VIDEO:  CTV NEWS Edmonton:  Final warning for distracted Alberta drivers

Alberta’s residents have less than a week left to get prepared for the new Distracted Driving law that comes into effect September 1, 2011.  Media releases state that Alberta sheriffs and RCMP officers will not be wasting any time enforcing this new law. Offenders will be ticketed.  Warnings will not be given out. 

According to RCMP officials, this new law is still in effect when your vehicle is stopped.  For example, firing out a quick text or inputting info into your GPS, at a red light, is considered unlawful under the new law and if caught, you will be ticketed.

Exceptions to the new law include calling 911, eating, drinking or smoking in your vehicle while driving.

“Get rid of the problem” like Gerry Provincial, who was purchasing a hands-free device in order to avoid breaking the law, and possibly receive a subsequent ticket of $172.00.
